This has lead organizations to equip the leaders with effective people management competencies.

 

One recent distraction that is a real challenge to combat is the hand-phone calls and SMS. This repeating pattern in the new generation (Gen Y) world-wide has created more difficulties for the supervisors. People Management skills need to be more intact in overcoming these attitude issues in the workers. This ability in the supervisor has a direct impact on high turnover issue. Supervisors of today need to know how to communicate, coach and motivate their staff. They need to be good in solving the subordinate’s problems and clear the way to high performance.
